Khuất Văn Khang and Phan Tuấn Tài are confirmed by Viettel to join the Vietnam national team's gathering during the FIFA Days in late March.
Khuất Văn Khang and Phan Tuấn Tài are two Viettel players called up to the Vietnam national team for the gathering during the FIFA Days in late March. The inclusion of these two players continues to highlight the role of young players in Coach Kim Sang Sik's personnel plan as the national team prepares for upcoming international matches.
Among them, Khuất Văn Khang is considered one of the promising young midfielders in Vietnamese football. The 2003-born player has frequently represented youth national teams and is gradually establishing his position at Viettel through his ability to control the tempo, wide-ranging movement, and effective attacking support.
Phan Tuấn Tài has also been a familiar figure in national team squads over recent years. This left-sided defender stands out with his balanced offensive and defensive contributions, particularly in crossing situations from the wing and supporting attacks. This call-up provides Tuấn Tài with another opportunity to compete for a spot on the flank of the Vietnam national team.
Besides Viettel, many clubs in the V-League have also confirmed players participating in the upcoming training camp. Ho Chi Minh City Police Club has three representatives including forwards Nguyễn Tiến Linh, Đinh Thanh Bình, and goalkeeper Lê Giang Patrik.
Meanwhile, Nam Định Club contributes two players: forward Nguyễn Xuân Son and defender Nguyễn Văn Vĩ. Hanoi Police Club has the most called-up players with eight names: Filip Nguyễn, Lê Phạm Thành Long, Bùi Hoàng Việt Anh, Quang Anh, Jason Pendant Quang Vinh, Lê Văn Đô, along with two returning players, Trần Đình Trọng and Đoàn Văn Hậu.
According to the plan, the Vietnam national team will gather from March 21 to March 31 during the FIFA Days. During this period, Coach Kim Sang Sik and his team will have a friendly match against Bangladesh on March 26 at Hàng Đẫy Stadium before facing Malaysia on March 31 at Thiên Trường Stadium. This is seen as an opportunity for the coaching staff to assess the squad and refine tactical plans.
